Despite only a few people showing up we had a great time.  Most of us hadn't been in the area so there was quite a bit of exploring and turning around as we tried to make sense of the map we were using.  The only real disappointment was the condition of some of the easier to reach coves.  There was a lot of litter.  If your out wheeling please pack out what you brought in.  Enjoy the pictures from this run.

The part I really enjoyed about the coves run was all the different hills to climb. If you like hills this is your run. Everywhere you looked there were rutted, loose inclines.

Lunch!

While out looking for 3rd cove we happened upon some fresh steaks blocking the trail.

Ok, so I was lost. But we found a cool area with some rocks to play on. Once I get my gears I would like to return and see how far up the wash we can go. The second picture is Bobby coming through the same stuff from the opposite direction.

Beach

We had lunch on the beach in cove #3. Would you believe 80 degrees in late November?

Tarantula Spider Attack!

Spiders! One minute we were cruising along the next under attack by tarantulas! Just kidding. Ken put that on himself on PURPOSE! Some peoples kids.......

The hill from the book

This is the hill from the 4x4 book we were using as a guide. The ruts up top were huge.

Last hill

We had some fun on the last hill. It was covered in a silt like sand, with many deep ruts. When we first approached we saw another Jeep climb to the top and nearly flip over backwards as it's rear tires fell into the large rut at the top.

Yeehaa!

Yeeeehaa!

Made it...

After a couple of tries I managed to claw my way to the top. A locker really makes this hill easy......

Dust Storm

We had some full size spectators. After one attempt they gave up and drove around the hill.
