We got all the bad luck out of the way early. My friend Nasser noticed his spring hanger on the front had detached from the frame. Luckily we hadn't started any four wheeling. The factory welds looked like they had 0 penetration.
We decided to try trail 1058 on the map.

We quickly discovered this trail was pretty tame. It would be a good trail to introduce somebody to 4 wheeling. In the pictures above we had taken a wrong turn and the trail just ended in the middle of nowhere.
Several sections of this trail narrowed down pretty good. This ridge was just wide enough for the Chevy, the only tracks were quad and dirt bikes.
