After installing my locker I needed a good
trail to test it out. I decided to go back to the Apache Leap Trail and
try to climb the rocky sluice I had driven down on the ZOA run last December.

This was Gary's test of his new TJ. He did a great job driving his stock vehicle.

The locker was working.

Can you believe this is February? Even at 4000ft it got too warm for jackets.

Here's the bottom of the sluice. It was easier last time, the bottom portion had eroded badly enough that you either needed to build a small ramp or big tires to get up the first ledge. Only having 30's I had to build a small ramp.

Here's a couple different angles from the first section. The locker made it so easy.

It's a lot more fun than it looks!

Playing in the ruts.

Testing the articulation.

This was a large pit we found in one of the valleys. I wanted to see if I could handle the drop. Plan B was to gun it if it got tippy, I eased down it but did make a few mods to the rear bumper.....
No more pictures after this. After playing in the pit we went the wrong direction and found a really cool way out. However we backed down after finding a few obstacles that were a little to much for a stock vehicle. Needless to say Gary's TJ got its first "ding". I know when he gets lifted and locked we'll be back.
