  After
a late start (thanks again for waiting guys) our group of stragglers headed for
Spider Lake. This trail is non-stop crawling. In the first two days
I drove over 12 hours and managed to cover around 12 miles. Early on I
discovered a broken T-case mount (sign of things to come?). I didn't know
it at the time but the mount broke while towing, along with the t-case shift
lever. While Adam change out a drive shaft in the Granite Bowl, I changed
out the t-case mount (good thing you remembered that part Dave :) .

I was too busy wheeling to take many
pictures while moving. Here we are really close to camp, we just pasted the
Little Sluice. One of the other Zukers was make a few "mods" to
his bents skid plate and Dave King was busy up ahead bending his Z-link.
  We
tried to bend the Z-link back into shape. It didn't make it to camp,
snapping just within sight of Spider Lake. Luckily someone had brought
their spare along.

  After
setting up camp I headed down to the Little Sluice to watch the fun. Here
Mike Shaeffer of Shaeffer's Off-Road navigates the Little Sluice. Please
make that coil setup into a kit! That thing made it look so easy.
  Here
a more "conventionally" setup Samurai tackles the Little
Sluice.
Here's
one of the weekends unbelievable moments. A group of Jeeps approaches the
Little Sluice and proceeds to stack rocks to climb out of the sluice even after
we pointed out the go around. If you are going to make an ass out of your
self, at least have your tires aired down.
A
couple of shots around camp, it filled up quickly the next day as more people
filtered in. Day 2
Day two, a group of
ten or so headed for Rubicon Springs.
Shane (the Samurai in
front of me at the time) broke a birfield here.

The group got pretty
strung out at times so we took frequent breaks waiting for the rest
to catch up.

Working our way down
the slabs,

We stopped at the dam
and Brent showed everyone how to change out a front axle.

The group coming up
"Bogger Hill". For some reason boggers don't work
well on this hill.
One of the hills by
the start of the Big Sluice. Just prior to this hill Dave King
broke a rear axle and had to limp back to camp. Next
