I spent Memorial Day trying to find a way down into a canyon I had seen on both of the Tip Top runs. On the second run I had seen an old road leading off in that direction. My friend Ken and myself decided to go out there and see where it led. The road looks like it hasn't been used in many years but it took us right down into the middle of the canyon and into a large wash at the bottom. From there you could either go upstream or downstream.

The wash consisted of mainly medium sized boulders with large boulders and medium sized waterfalls every couple hundred feet. There was usually several lines to take which is why we'd rate it a 4.0-5.0. If you have the gear there are some big holes to play in out here.

We decided to head upstream first. I was playing around, taking some of the harder line. Early on I started having problems with the starter not wanting to engage after I stalled. At first I thought my clutch might be the culprit, it was engaging way at the bottom of the pedal so I stopped and adjusted it back a little bit.
