Dave King, Myself, Fred Swanson, Ronnie King and Rick Wampler met at the Circle K on Jackrabbit road for a night run out in the White Tanks. We left the parking lot around 8:30pm. It was pretty busy out there, several groups of 4 wheelers were out playing. We decide to run Firebird and then go watch some of the other guys run Intimidator, a new 5.0 trail that just opened.
I wasn't going to bring my camera but I am sure glad I did. Here's a couple of the early obstacles.
I've got a picture of Dave in the Hall of Fame driving through this notch. He let his son Ronnie drive his samurai through it and to our amazement Ronnie walked right on through in one smooth motion. Fred tried it next and made it through will a little more difficulty. I wasn't sure if I was wide enough but the guys talked me into trying it. The hardest part is when your front tire drops off the first big boulder, you have to steer right but your tire gets jammed against the rock. If you don't turn right as your going forward the passenger rear tire goes into a big hole.
Here's that big hole I was talking about.....
Still trying to get over the rock. When all else fails you can use your spotter for traction :)
After a bunch of tries I finally managed to get the tires to hook up and the Zuk leveled out. Carnage: 1 hole in my softop.
