January 2002 - Highway to Hell

I know, we just ran this trail last month, but we had such a good time when my friend Nasser asked me to take him there I could not refuse. Nasser's Jeep had been undergoing a gradual buildup over the last couple of years and he finally felt it was ready for a hard trail (I think ground clearance is the key for this trail).

The crew (well, almost, Nasser is behind the camera), trail dog Spud, myself, Steve "Hi-lift" Jansen and Erik.
Someone unstacked the first notch (thanks!).
We dubbed Erik the official spotter. He guided Nasser thru the first section with ease.
Coming thru the squeeze.
And up the second ledge. Steve was working overtime keeping Nasser's body off the rocks.
