November 2002 - The 6th Day

Table Mesa was really busy this weekend,  we passed a convoy of 30-40 vehicles on the way to the trail! With only 4 rigs in our group we set out to try some new lines on the 6th Day trail.

This spot was pretty rough on the longer wheelbase rigs.  Once you cleared the first line of boulders another set complete with undercuts greeted you.

My nemesis for the day was this obstacle.  No matter which line I took I was trying to climb with all four tires at once. I eventually got by but ended up on my side, time to break out the winch.....

Mark broke one of the mounts on the axle for his suspension links at this point.  Larry used a portable wire feed welder to make a quick field repair.
