This trail is an excellent boulder crawl for the first mile or so.   Just for reference Jack is running 38's on his Toyota and both of us felt more ground clearance would have been nice.  We polished our differential guards and undercarriage pretty good.

A sea of boulders.  We made it to the trailhead around 6:00am and drove in for about 3 hours.  There were two times in this section I got hung up on both axles and had to winch forward.  Our plan was to try and reach an exit road or turn back around 10am so we wouldn't get stuck out in the heat.  As soon as the sun crested the mountain to the east it felt like someone had turned the oven on, and that was around 8am!
