Day 1 - True Grit

Day 2 - Presidents Choice

November means it is time for the Parker Desert Splash.  The trails seemed easier this year but my rig has gone through a lot of changes in the past 12 months.  Still, there is enough optional lines to keep just about anybody entertained and facilities at the campground are another big plus (hot running water!).

Here's a picture from the staging area on Saturday morning.  The run our group chose to run was a trail called Deliverance.  There were about 40 rigs signed up for this particular trail, roughly 15 of them in our group alone.

The trail started in the hills near town.  Typical of the trails I had run last year, you stayed in a wash the entire time and the obstacles were rocky outcroppings or ledges in canyons.

There were several optional lines, like the one in the second picture above.

I followed Pat thru and tried running my passenger side tires as high as possible to make it interesting :)

This was one of the tighter obstacles, a Z turn with a ledge right in the middle.  It was pretty easy for those who didn't have sheet metal to worry about.
