November 2003 - Judgment Day

Trail Rating - 3.5

Photos submitted by Chris Villarreal

It is interesting seeing how a trail changes over time.  Sometimes it's a good change but lately the changes tend to be for the worse.  The last run thru this trail there were a lot more holes and spots where you needed a locker to get thru.  This time, an open rig made it without much fuss (although there was still some sheet metal damage).  based on this I dropped the trail rating down a half a notch.  If you find yourself with a few moments on the trail, pull a few of the rocks out of the holes and help keep the trails challenging.

The first crack is really filled in.  It used to be so deep there was no way to put a tire on the top of the rock wall on the left without tipping over.

Some pictures from the big bowl near the middle of the trail.  It used to be a task just getting to the opposite end of the bowl due to the rocks (lots of diff grabbers).  Now it's pretty much flat.

The last notch.  We decided to try the line to the left.  It was pretty exciting with the 10 foot deep notch to the passenger side.

Here's a good shot of the notch.
