Trail Rating - 3.5

This was the 3rd annual
BTG Log Corral Run. My rig wasn't ready for last years run so I missed
out, but not this year. The run consists of a run thru the Log Corral
Trail to the backside of Bartlett Lake. After setting up camp on the lake
shore we would hit the exposed rocks for some before dinner fun and then enjoy
dinner and a campfire before retiring for the night. The plan the next
morning was to pack up and head out after breakfast. Seems easy enough.

We had a lot fewer rigs
this year compared to last year. We were missing a few BTG rigs due to ongoing
repairs but still had 5 in attendance along with 5 street driven 4x4s.

The previous months rains
really rearranged the trail making it a bit more difficult for the street driven
4x4's. We'll probably require at least one locker for next years run to
save some time.

This is the one rough
section of the trail and the buggies made short work of it.

First casualty of the day,
a tire bead.

Steve's 4 Runner had dual
ARB's and t-cases which made the first part easy.

Without a locker you are
forced to use momentum to get over some of the obstacles. We soon
discovered momentum and stock axle parts leads to breakage.

We pulled the Ford Ranger
forward to a spot we could turn it around and got some of the other rigs thru.

Then it was Matt to the
rescue, he was at the tail end, arriving a little after we pulled out of the
meeting spot. With gravity helping us we got the disabled 4x4 back to the start
of the rocky part leaving 10 rigs to continue on.
