Day 3, while the sun came up in the east the moon was setting in the west.

Again, the day started out perfect so we loaded up to hit the pit stops and
find a good route for the support rigs to move between them. After that we
headed out to run the eastern part of the course since none of us had ever run
any of the trails out there.

We ran down Aftershock and Sunbonnet Pass before heading back to camp to
start final preparations for the race.

When we got back to camp we saw that Brian and Wes had arrived. Brian
made the trip in part to pick up the twisted Customs rig he had purchased a few
weeks back. While Jack and Scott headed to the drivers meeting we got a
small group together to run Brian up Backdoor and Resolution to break in his new
buggy.

Towards the top of Resolution.

The night before the race ended up being the nicest as far as the weather was
concerned. We cooked dinner and were able to eat outdoors next to a warm
fire.
