Day two arrived with sunny skies and no wind, two days till race day and
counting. The course was supposed to be released around noon so our group took
off in the morning to start driving some of the trails to see their condition.
We started on Jackhammer.

lakebed.

Heading down Jack North.

After making it to the bottom of Jack North we headed over to some of the
sand dunes and played on those for a while.

We headed back around noon and Jack got the course loaded into his GPS.
The weather at this point had started to turn with rain clouds threatening so
Karyn and Cameron stayed back at camp while the rest of use ran around to the
checkpoints and then scouted the northern leg of the course. We eventually
surrendered to the elements after it started sleeting and the wind picked up.
We headed back to camp around 4-5pm and hid in the campers for the rest of the
evening.
