Day 5, the day after. Most of the lakebed was clearing out but since
the weather was so nice (sunny and no wind) we decided to run a few trails
before we left. Since I didn't get to run Full of Hate (FOH) last time I
knew we were going to hit that one first. Right off the bat Barry broke a
rear axle. Luckily (?) it occurred right at the start so we just had to
winch him back a few feet then he was able to drive off the trail under his own
power. This left just Bill, myself and Chad.

This one is the toughest Hammers trail I have run, nice and technical with
huge rocks to navigate over and around. I'd be willing to bet a lot of the
older Hammers trail used to look like this.

My wife gave Cameron the camera and we ended up with these action shots from
his buggy......

The squeeze towards the top, my rig fit thru with room to spare.

Bill got a few scratches on Sparkle, I think Barry forgot to tell him about
this spot :)

This off camber turn was the hairiest of the trail since the driver is
looking straight down the trail if he looks to his left.

After reaching the top we headed down Wrecking Ball and decided to head back
to camp. After a quick lunch we all hit the road to start the 324 mile
drive back to Phoenix.
