Once we made it down to the lake we found it had risen at least 10-20 feet
from the pre-run in February.
Luckily there was one road left that led over to the next cove. We made it
over there and found that cove flooded as well but there was still enough room
for a camp. We set everything up and went out for a day trip.

We eventually ended up a few coves down and stuck our feet/paws in the water.
Our excitement for the day occurred here when a swarm of bees came roaring up
the cove. We didn't know if we should run for it or hold still.
Luckily the bees flew right over us and kept going. After that we headed
back to camp.

Pat, Scott, Erin and myself decided it was warm enough to go swimming.
We are standing at the top of a set of boulders
seen in the upper
left corner of this panoramic shot taken back in 2004 when the cove was high
and dry.

Scott had to leave on Saturday evening so it was just Jay, Jack, Pat and
myself on the ride out.

We made good time, no breakage but a lot of desert pin striping.
