The start of our road trip had us under the rain clouds all the way in to New
Mexico.

We arrived early Friday morning to mostly sunny skies.
but by mid afternoon it had started to rain on and off making traction hard to
find. I would have thought the sandstone like rock in Farmington would have
provided good traction no matter how dry it was but in reality once it gets wet
the top layer kind of smears off making a muddy patch anywhere a tire touches
it. This made many of the crawlable obstacles incredibly difficult even if you
had sticky tires.

We ran Gladiator first which had some cool notch
climbs.

At the top was a small climb that was one of those "it's
harder than it looks" obstacles. Jerry rolled here and Jack took out his welded
rear differential. I am pretty sure Scott twisted his rear axle here as well
(judging by the video).

Cary and I ran a few trails with Jeremy and Jerry while
the rest of the guys went to repair Jack's rig. Later in the afternoon we made
a few attempts on Slickline, Rodney made it up before the rain started which
then shut down Wes's run at it. The rain went from big drops to a mist so
Jeremy tried it and bend his rear driveline. Next Scott tried it and made it
after which the rest of us moved down the wash to play on an easier obstacle.

The next obstacle was basically a notch/climb. Josh
made it, Cary didn't, I nearly made it but my rig didn't fit thru, Wes made it and clearanced the notch for the next rig, Scott finished off his rear axle shaft
in the notch, and Jeremy split his TH350 in half as he was pulling up to the
notch.
Thankfully we started on some easy trails........
