This was house rock, an optional line were the danger was actually sliding
off the rocks in the middle of the trail and onto your driveshaft.

Everyone made it thru with driveshaft's intact although Chris did get a lucky
break when he just barely cleared one of the rocks with his driveshaft after
slipping off.

The trail steadily climbed from here on out with the thick vegetation giving
way to more loosely spaced trees.

Another nice spot for a break.

The final climb was above the tree line.

To get to the top of the trail we needed to get across this bog.

There were several existing tracks thru the bog, the rick was finding one
that wasn't too waterlogged.

I tried a spot right next to an existing track which did not work out too
well.

We eventually all made it past the bog and climbed the last few hills to a
very scenic overlook.

While walking around I noticed some ripe blueberries which was pretty amazing
considering it was very early in the season and they typically are not ripe for
another month or so.

Eventually everyone got picked some for a snack.

Heading back down from the plateau.

I tried a different line across the bog on the way back with the same results
as the first time.

We stopped and cooked some dogs at a small clearing we passed on the way in.
Hot food tastes so much better when you are wheeling.

Back at the start of the trail we cleaned the trucks windows and mirrors off
using river water and a squeegee to avoid hassles with the local law
enforcement.
I wanted to thank Dan, Kyong and all their friends for showing us a great
time. It was the highlight of our trip.
