Chad had been wheeling on and off with
the club for the past few years and was finally initiated into the club in
October 2007. I suspect if he would have known the initiation was going to
last 3 days he may not have accepted the invitation :)

While he didn't build his buggy
himself, he is getting to know it
very well as he addresses
some of the weaknesses of the buggy.


The biggest issue was breaking off the
steering arm bolts. Chad has since installed some ARP studs, then with
Jack's help added a 5th stud and tied the upper steering arm to the lower
steering arm on the knuckle.
This particular chassis looks like it was originally setup for leaf springs and
as you can see the front bumper is hindering a 90 degree approach angle.
Future changes will include shortening the nose of the buggy and eliminating the
single shear bolts found throughout the suspension.
