I first met Scott way back in 2001. His
YJ was still dent free but not for long.

After several years of hard use the body was
looking a little worn out.

By 2003 Scott's rig was holding him back, it
was time to remove the sheet metal and do something about the leaf sprung
suspension. I loaned him my tube bender and off he went.
I have to admit I was surprised at how much he cut off for his first build!

Slowly the rear tubing took shape.

Scott designed and installed a 4 link
suspension in back that would utilize Fox air shocks. The wheelbase ended
up at 109".

The transformation was a success. Other
than still needing to finish up the floor and a few other minor details his rig
is looking good and working really well. Scott
took his rig out of service in August 2005 to tube the front end and eliminate
his front leaf springs. His front axle is now located via 3 links (two
straight lower links and an upper "A" arm) and a pair of Fox 16" airshocks.

July 2007 - Scott starts
Project
"Less Wrinkly".
