Dennis started wheeling with Ford Bronco’s mostly for hunting and fun wheeling.  In 2000 he got into rock crawling and bought a Jeep TJ.  After dumping money into the TJ for upgrades to run harder trails he soon realized it had much sheet metal. The parts gathering for a buggy started in late 2004.

Dennis wrapped approximately 300 feet of tubing around a set of Volvo portal axels, a supercharged 3.8 V6 from a Ford supercoupe and an automatic transmission.  Total build time was 8 months

In March 2007 Dennis decided to retire his portal axles and is in the process of installing a set of D60's.

Dennis completed teh axle swap in December and it appears to have accomplished his goals.  His rig is now a much better climber and no longer picks up the front end on the climbs.
