Mark's 4runner started out as a full bodied, drive-to-the-trail wheeler.  His stock carbureted 22r was swapped out for a fuel injected 22re motor from an 85 Toyota.  As time passed it became apparent that the sheet metal would have to go.

Mark credits his good friend Randy Morrow of Trailtoy Fabrication with taking his 4runner to the next level.  The first step was stripping everything off that wasn't needed.  The front AllPro 5" springs and rear Skyjacker 5" springs were retained as well as the dual transfer cases (stock gears in the front, 4:1 reduction in the rear case).

Next a cage was constructed to house the occupants.

With the addition of some 39.5" TSL's, Marks new buggy was ready to hit the trails.

Thru careful use of the throttle Mark has managed to keep breakage to a minimum.  He eventually upgraded the front birfields when the Longfield Superbirfs were introduced and a Warn M8000 winch was added to handle recovery duties.
